Acting through reactions

To manifest enough willingness for an act, first, we must be aware to a certain degree of the cause & effects, both for our individual & shared benefits. Then make an effort to understand how the benefits come to be, and how to improve & scale around them. Only after willingness becomes natural, otherwise, it will remain a superficial act.

When I decided that healthiness was a priority, I made an effort to learn and understand how vegetarianism works at a biological level, after becoming aware of its potential implications – living longer, being calmer, more energetic, more alert, or more mindful, among others. The epiphany experienced in that moment was part perceptions turning into knowledge and something from within, manifesting in synergy, forming my understanding while a vision of myself at a hundred flashed behind my eyes.

I never managed to convince another human to improve their diet based on my present understanding, tho, even if the benefits are no sickness, no ailments, and life energy beyond my capability to use it.

Reading, watching, or listening can only raise awareness about a fact or phenomenon. If we mistake information with knowledge, or even worse, with understanding, good job for us – we let ourselves be manipulated.

For information to become knowledge, experience of the subject is not needed, as it is solely an intellectual process, within the mind, where analogies are created. For knowledge to become understanding, experience is fundamental to form insights, and our memory becomes foundational, along with awareness of the present moment. Furthermore, manifesting that understanding creates a change in our behaviour, and this is solely a willing act.

  • Willingness to work ten hours daily to create enough value to trade for a child to go to school and have the chance to become a more conscious human being.

  • Willingness to learn and deepen understanding regarding linguistics, just to purge my knowledge, my insights, my observations into the minds of others….

  • Willingness to decapitate a king after a collective effort to expand awareness and deepen understanding regarding how a society can live together in better harmony.

  • Etc.

First | Awareness through witnessing

Awareness is the ability to form consciousness. Awareness is the manifestation of the mind, that electrical signal which goes in continuous contact with our perceptions & emotions (except for people with alzheimer or dementia, who can easily lose contact with reality). The better the quality of its intelligence, the higher the quantity of consciousness that can form in a moment.

Awareness can be easily drawn to by outside factors – light flashes of advertising, loud sounds, familiar faces – changes in environment, etc. It is difficult to maintain mindful awareness in balance on a subject for long enough to understand what-the-love happens. It is difficult to witness an event unfolding while also witnessing our thoughts & emotions. If humans could do it naturally, problems wouldn’t exist.

Since the opposite is handier to talk about, I want to bring to your awareness that whenever we place attention on something until it becomes uncomfortable to witness it, we willingly evolve, individually & collectively, as humanity. When we explore consciously, we learn, we gather more information, which, through mental reflection, becomes valuable knowledge.

A subject can create instantaneous discomfort – bills, taxes, Mondays, war in Gaza, 7th of October – while the rest will gradually increase, as even our greatest pleasures will become disgusting after we can predict the outcome without effort. Playing the same game, in the same way, is sickening, while the intensity of the moment, constant exploration of possibilities, and desire to improve lead to healthier behaviour. Another example can be eating the same food, in the same way, or working the same job, reading books with similar subjects, watching similar movies or series, etc.

Awareness springs from the mind, as perceptions and emotions go through, interact to form thoughts & memories, and influence every aspect of our being. Another person can influence us by bringing to our awareness a certain fact or aspect of it, which can help us explore it better. Along with it, we can act willingly, to place our attention on facts and aspects to observe more details, forming a better understanding. This is the act of witnessing, when we consciously choose what to observe.

Our awareness can be influenced from both sides. Although when one becomes dominant, problems of manipulation or overconfidence will occur. We can be lied to and believe it, due to the momentary incapability to be mindful of our emotions, since most of the attention is drawn by our perceptions. Or we can believe that every thought that comes through the mind is worth manifesting, as our perceptions diminish in comparison with the emotional energy. Most humans can be easily blinded to the truth, which lies inside ourselves already, as we all know what we know and what we don’t.

The balance between emotional and perceptual influences is called meditation (or mediation) – the willing act to remain serene until realization happens, or living in serenity as realization unfolds.

Ignorance of certain aspects of a phenomenon that creates discomfort in the emotional state, or vice versa, leads to more discomfort. Pro-Palestinians and Pro-Israelis will always be uneasy about regional news, while a scholar, a studious person, will always keep one eye on the present news (perceptions), one on history (memory), and one on the possibilities (imagination). Those three dimensions of consciousness happen simultaneously, and we must keep awareness willingly on the whole spectrum to have truth in sight. Observing too much of the present, thinking too much on possibilities, or holding on to memories creates inevitable misconceptions, which further disturb our understanding and behaviour expressivity.

We must be mindful of experiencing the perceptions, thoughts, and emotions. We must be unbound by influences while manifesting them.

After | Understanding through contemplation

Understanding is a balancing act to comprehend the interconnections & interdependence between information, knowledge, and emotions. It is the way to discover the truth through contemplation. We create meaningful insights to become able to experience the realization of truth, which settles our emotional manifestations regarding a fact, phenomenon, or subject we encounter.

It begins with curiosity, the desire to explore the unknown, to search for possibilities, while relating to memories for better guidance in our journey. It is followed by a continuous willing effort of attentiveness, mindfulness, and alertness of awareness, until we satisfy our inquiry. The final part is envisioning a developing path for the liberation of present constraints, which starts by crafting an intention from our understanding.

Throughout our lives, we experience truth in small doses, and few enlightened individuals can comprehend more of it; yet, the collective vision of humanity remains largely ungraspable, as it is continuously unfolding. We understand based on the quantity & quality of our experiences, as we form better insights if we contemplate both in detail and the wider picture. We can all fold a piece of paper that floats through the air a couple of metres, and altogether send people on a flying-falling rock, about 250,000 km away.

Awareness represents the present moment, through which past and future, memories & potentialities, become one act, our act, wherever we are, whenever we are, however we are – this is our present behaviour, inevitable and ever-changing.

We evolve with every conscious moment we experience & manifest. The more we contemplate our memories, our past, the more details insights we will gain, and the more we understand, which allows better potentialities for our future actions. The more we think about potentialities, the better we know what memories need to be more contemplated. The more we want to understand about ourselves, about the world, the more we have to explore our past, our history, through memories that still stand. We have to create consciously around the present memories, to discover more of our purpose in this life, and in the universe.

Insightfulness is the quality of understanding, through which sights of truth manifest for our experience. Contemplative state creates the medium where we can form insights, carve our understanding, and discover truthfulness. When we perform contemplation, we are alone, mind clear of perceptions, and thoughts tangle with emotions to create something new, unique, a sight of the world that no one has observed from that angle, with that light, at that moment.

Insights remain a memory pulsar within our mind, influencing our behaviour, and will always flash when needed. We may ignore it, unaware of the potential benefits, but if we choose to contemplate it further, we create a better understanding of ourselves and the world, and evolve through it. We can experience it as an old memory, always coming through our mind, always in the same situation, always reacting the same way to it. Those represent the fragments of the human we are, memories that influence behaviour unconsciously. They manifest as small gestures at first, and they can grow into personality traits, and further into psychological disorders, which incapacitate a human from developing naturally – a walking ghost.

Our memories are inevitable and represent moments in space & time around which we can develop consciously, rather than bury them, ripping potential with our mind. Memory doesn’t forgive, nor judge, it only guides, and its voice comes from the depths of our being, our ancestral self, which echoes in the presence of awareness. Its reverberations are always here, in this moment, in our souls, and only lose intensity through the troubled mind, as our environment can be overwhelmed with momentary noise and pleasures.

Tension is the result of it, which forms as our emotions cannot manifest without resistance, from others, through ourselves. To realize the cause of tension and create relaxation, we can introspect our being, mindfully, going with awareness where discomfort is, and remain there until it dissolves. Only after insights can form, understanding develop, giving chance for consciousness to expand, and further, for evolution to happen.

We must be silent in our contemplation of truth. We must be clear in our intention when we manifest it.

Last | Manifestation through willingness

Manifestation is everything we do, as action and reaction. Emotions are fuel, the mind is the gateway, and perceptions are triggers. Every moment we feel something within the body wanting to go out, and with awareness, it will manifest consciously, forming memory. Without awareness, it will still happen, but without consent, without control, without purpose, and will be lost if it is not brought to our attention by someone else.

Babies, little human explorers, want to touch everything after they learn to walk, and parents will be there to guide them through danger, or away from it. A baby’s willingness is unstoppable by words, by opinions, until his imagination develops, and unless the parent uses force, his will will grow.

A doctor in the 19th century, Leipzig, named Daniel Moritz Schreber, popularized a method of suppressing a child’s natural impulses, their instincts, and controlling their behaviour by forcing them into submission when they act willingly. As lazy as it gets – a method created from desperation of comfort, rather than an insightful contemplation. His books have sold 50 million copies, and are still selling, promoting the most comfortable method for parents with only one concern – control over their child’s behaviour whenever they want. It is said that by repressing a child’s first willing acts, it incapacitates their behaviour for a lifetime. No wonder that one of his children committed suicide, two developed mental illnesses, and the other two surely did not have a thriving life. Luckily for them, the books sold well, but for humanity, it left a big scar, as through this doctor’s method, tens of millions of people in Europe were left prey to manipulation in the following century.

Inevitably, the contrary is better. At the first signs of willingness to act, his first conscious memory will form, and better be a beautiful one. The child’s manifestation is meant to be witnessed, without interruption. Only then will he go through the whole process of realizing himself as an actor in the world. The child will understand the meaning of his actions, the relationship between cause & effect. If he is interrupted by any means, his conscious memory will stop growing. If he is encouraged to do it again, he will repeat himself. Both means of interacting will worsen the meaning of his manifestation, altering his awareness. The only moment when someone should interfere is either when danger is obvious or when the child asks.

Our behaviour, our relationship with people, with the world around, every interaction, even with our being, is influenced by the environment, by perceptions, and as they pass through the mind, reaching emotions, we can influence them too. The mind’s function is limited only by our needs & desires. If we believe we have enough in our lives, it will stagnate, as neurons will not form, only degrade through aging. Forming new neurons and synapses is the result of willingness, the force that creates possibilities, which first starts with our emotions, which are triggered by perceptions. Therefore, willingness is the intensity of emotional manifestation.

Willingness can grow beyond awareness capacity, meaning that someone can react emotionally, without being able to think, seeking conflict, being a slave to their instincts, to pleasures, and prone to manipulation, easy to influence. The counter effect, a person who represses his emotions, manifesting them only when pleasure is certain, runs from conflict, with few instincts, and rarely lets himself be influenced, even when benefits are clear. Contrasting both extremes, which are connected with the political movements, is a mediating person, one who feels his emotions, understands meaning, acts wherever conflicts can be resolved, knows when to run, when to stand, listens to his instincts, can influence positively, and does not manipulate – a devotee of truth, life, and consciousness,.

Awareness of our willingness creates potential for growth in the intensity of life experience, through emotional manifestation, consciously, intentionally, while mindfully choosing the moment of relevance.

Willingness is fundamental to human manifestation. The quantity varies between moments. Awareness of its aspects increases its quality, in intensity & complexity. Intelligence creates more complex possibilities, more complex memories, and more conscious acts.

When we want to create, ideas will come through the mind, and with awareness develop what the design could be, where & when it should happen, how it could work now or under other conditions, to whom we should share it, and why it is important. This can happen in our mind if we will it mindfully, until the moment of realization, or epiphany ends.

What would be the meaning of our creation? We can only manifest in the world and witness it.
